Free Twilight Tuesday performance in Te Ao Mārama South Atrium at Auckland Museum

NO BOOKINGS REQUIRED

In this free performance from New Zealand’s renowned NZTrio, experience a sumptuous journey through French passion, vibrant city nightlife, and the colourful spectrum of jazz. Inspired by the infamous nineteenth-century French nightclub, Le Chat Noir, this concert is a whirlwind of bold sounds and beautiful melodies.

Pieces include Kenji Bunch’s rhythmic Groovebox, capturing the essence of New York City between dusk and dawn, followed by the Brazilian flair of Raimundo Penaforte. You’ll be swept up by the hypnotic beats of Aotearoa’s beloved Claire Cowan’s Subtle Dances, then find yourself in bohemian Paris listening to the music of Paris-based New Zealander Reuben Jelleyman, before finishing with a composer who defied convention and made her mark on French music, Cécile Chaminade.
