Really lovely to see one of our special commissions by composer Jenny McLeod taking on new life at this year's Martinborough Music Festival ❤️. We commissioned 'Clouds' a couple of years back to celebrate Jenny's 80th birthday and are delighted to see it being performed by Finnish pianist Paavali Jumpannen, Serbian cellist Svetlana Bogosavljevic, with NZ's Donald Armstrong on violin - this Sunday 29th Sept at 2pm. https://bit.ly/McLeodyClouds

We like to cover all the senses when performing live music 🍹😛😂 Join us for post-concert drinks at our Auckland Town Hall, Hōro ā-Tāone o Tāmaki Makaurau performance on 18th Sept, 7pm featuring this scrummy Untrodden Ways cocktail by Claire Filer: “We move into untrodden territory with this inventive sour, sweet and herbaceous cocktail, a reimagining of a basil smash. Blending Armenian tart mulberry with savoury fresh basil, bright lime and NZ-made blackberry & balsamic bitters, this is an explosion of rich colour which comes together in a harmonious fashion while touching all of the far reaches of the palate.” Ingredients as follows…

60ml vodka
30ml lime juice
30ml mulberry jam
Approx 10 basil leaves
2 dashes Elemental Distilling Co blackberry & balsamic bitters

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, muddle the basil, then shake with ice and strain into a martini or coupe glass.

Edward is a partner in the litigation practice at @chapman_tripp_nz. He also chairs the firm’s Community Committee, responsible for pro bono work, sustainability initiatives and community support. He has a long association with @nz_opera both as a Chorus member and, for ten years, as Board secretary. As well as his role for NZTrio, he is a founding member of @operafactorynz and a trustee of the Opera Factory Trust.
